When it comes to the city itself, the historic centre of Arles boasts numerous Roman remains, townhouses dating back to the Renaissance period and a variety of entertaining and educational museums.

Every year Arles hosts a variety of traditional festivals. Among them is the “fête des gardians” when the “gardians” (French version of cowboys), responsible for herding the Camargue cattle, parade through the city! As well as the “fête du Riz” (rice festival) and the “fête du Costume” (costume festival), a great fun experience for family and friends.
Finally, every summer, the city of Arles hosts the famous International Photography Festival. Definitely one for photography fans!
