The friendly staff
Lovely owners who were super helpful on arrival
We cut short our 6 night stay after 2 nights as we were bitten at least 30 times from mosquitoes. Now we know that they are common but we felt the pitch was clearly near to a nest of some kind which was a shame as the island is amazing.
This is clearly outside of the site owners control but she never asked why we decided to leave after 2 days - I guess as we had paid then no issue for her!
The site has a good pool and is reasonable cycle ride away from local attractions. The younger man and woman on site were friendly.
This poor visit started with a poor welcome! We arrived around 2, after a long drive, to find reception closed from 12-3. Come 3 o’clock we joined a queue of people waiting to talk to reception. This queue turned out to be very slow as one lady very slowly processed each enquiry. It felt like the lady went out of her way to be difficult. She sent me to check our pitch and whilst I did so sent us to the back of the queue, shouting at our children. When we finally got checked in we were led to a different pitch.. Irritable and clearly unhappy owners. Even the electricity boxes are padlocked
Friendly staff.
Nice pool
Restaurant
Couldn’t control the temperature of the shower
Pitch was ok
No toilet seats, toilet roll or handwash
Nice quiet site, tucked away.
The pitches aren't very well maintained, weeds, tree roots and mud sum them up.
The toilet and kitchen cleaning area have been forgotten about and seem to have been left in the 1990's. Oh and there's no toilet paper on site so you'll need to take your own (which we always carry a roll just in case)
This site is no where near a beach like the photos show
